Hi,
I have just upgraded my Notebook to Kubuntu 9.10 from 9.04.
Since My entire development is based on Firebird first task i took
after playing for sometime with new Fresh Install of 9.10 was to
install firebird. I usually do tar.gz install. So I tried that
by downloading fresh copy of FirebirdSS-2.1.3.18185-0.amd64.tar.gz
from sourceforge. At the end of installation it failed by giving error
libstdc++.so.5 is not available. With such error on 9.04 I was asked to
install compat-glibc at that time and it had worked. This time
I searched repositories but this package is not available.
Can somebody guide me about this ? what I am suppose to do this time.
I have also tried install from repository but that also fails.
Please help me out in this matter.
Thanks and best regards
Raja
