Hi there,
I have a database created with FB1.5, and used after that with FB2.0.
without backup/restore. Default character set is win1251. Recently i
updated to FB 2.1. and I made backup/restore with it, in order to
upgrade the database structure for using the new features.
The problem is in triggers and procedures with cyrilic characters
inside. I can't open them in IBExpert, because it cannot extract the
metadata from the database - the error sounds like "Cannot
transliterate character between character sets..."
I fixed temporary the problem as i open and extract the brocken
metadata from the old database using FB 2.0. and recompile the
problems objects later with 2.1.
The question now is how can i prevent this situation, or what i am
doing wrong, because i have to upgrade a some of customers databases
in the same way.
Both Connection and DB charset is win1251.
Thanks in Advance.
