Thanks for this, no problems since setting the async property.
Interesting that the default is forced writes. Since the setting is
on a per-database level I assume that any future updates will maintain
the existing setting; unlike the feature/bug in the linux install
program which TAR's up all of the firebird directory and then installs
the new version with new/blank database and config files, so you have
to manually copy back the originals to get your users back.
