Hi,
I created a new cross-platform application using Firebird Embedded:
http://www.guacosoft.com/attic/
It runs on Windows with embedded 2.0 without any problems. I also
managed to get it running on Linux using Classic in "embedded" way.
Now, my application is portable to MacOSX as it's written in C++ using
wxWidgets library, but I don't know if there is something
embedded-like on MacOSX.
I know very little about Mac, but before going into making Mac port,
I'd like to be sure that Firebird can run on it. I guess Firebird
Classic is available on Mac and runs the same way as on Linux (via
(x)inetd) ?
If that is true, has anyone managed to run Classic in embedded way,
i.e. directly without (x)inetd.
Any clues regarding this would be helpful.
Thanks,
P.S. Somewhat OT, but I will be offering 50% discount to members of
Firebird Foundation. Details will probably be posted on FF mailing
list soon.
