Hi,
I will soon be buying Linux Virtual Private Server or Linux Dedicated
server for my current project, and I don't know almost nothing about
Linux distributions and how Firebird and Python are working on them.
I will be using some py packages for charset encoding/decoding, the
database will be utf-8, but there will be charset encodings from
win1251, win1252, etc to unicode. I will use kinterbase py package.
There is no GUI, everything that is is Firebird database and some python
2.4 scripts.
Currently all scripts I am using are working OK under Windows XP (my
dev machine)
Any advice on Linux version? Or other remarks for a Linux newbie?
