I'm using Firebird 2.0 WI-V2.0.0.12748; I'm trying to access databases
on several PC's on our network, they are all in the same IP range
(192.168.107.xxx). I've added entries in the hosts file for any PC
that I couldn't ping by host name, I've verified that telnet hostname
3050 works for all PC's. The two PC's I can't access with FlameRobin
and ISQL are in workgroups, but there is another PC in a workgroup
that I can access. I can browse to the database in FlameRobin, do
directory searches, etc. Here's an interesting wrinkle for the PC's I
can't access. The network URL for one is
\\BARINST\INST\BARRY\BARRY.FDB where INST is the share name for drive
C:. ISQL fails to connect (error -902, cannot find the path
specified). If I substitute \\BARINST\C:\BARRY\BARRY.FDB, ISQL
connects successfully! I've tried both syntax's for FlameRobin and
IBPP without success. FlameRobin reports error -904, unavailable database.
