Making an application Unicode aware is not a simple task. It means to
touch every single string in the application and check if it is
handled correctly. So if your appliation is not Unicode aware now (and
you don't know what that is) it will probably be very tedious to do
that.

Partly. The Grids are unaware of Unicode, but when you click on the
"Ellipsis" button (...) of a string field, it opens a window with a
"Unicode Editor" (applies to version 2006-10-14 of IBExpert).
