Hi,

I am facing this problem of connecting to the firebird database in a linux
server from a remote windows system
If i install firebird directly on the linux server, i get the connection
from the windows system. But if i install it remotely (physically copying
the files using a gui), i am not able to connect to the database.

Also i have upgraded from Firebird 1.5 to Firebird 2.0 (have followed all
the steps of unistalling / backup etc)
But after upgrading , my clients have started complaining abt the speed. It
has become slow especially when the front end application is using while the
database is being updated.
