It is a bit like me asking you "I fill my car with petrol every day.
Is that fine?" You would reply "that depends on how far you drive daily".

For a lot of databases, a daily sweep is overkill. For some, it is
necessary. It just depends on how many transactions you have per day,
and how much garbage accumulates through those transactions.
