Subject Re: Another "connection forcibly closed by the remote host" problem

Dimitry,
I have scoured the properties for the virtual network adapter and, as
expected, I don't find any power settings there. I do not have access
to the "real" server, so I have passed your message on to our network
admin.

I thought it was interesting this afternoon when I got the same error
as the users when I went to close Database Workbench after I had left
an active SQL Query window unattended for just over an hour. If
nothing else that almost certainly eliminated the possibility that
the problem is application based. We've seen the error in at least
three different applications, two COTS and one home-grown. It also
dispelled the notion that a shared folder connection timeout was the
culprit.

I'll let you know what our net admin finds.

Thanks,
Scott
