We have transferred from fb1.02 to fb1.05 and are very happy with the performance.
Since transferring to 1.5 we have found that an existing application often fails to serve giving an error on our webserver (not the client):
" An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"
I have used the instclient.exe to include the fbclient.dll with the gds32.dll in the \system32 directory thinking that this would solve our issue.
Below is the firebird.log
neo (Server) Tue May 2 15:41:41 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
neo (Server) Tue May 2 15:45:06 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
neo (Server) Tue May 2 15:53:07 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
neo (Server) Tue May 2 16:44:13 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
Any ideas?
