Hi All,
Wondering if anyone can unravel this mystery for me.
Added a permission to a system table for a user - UserA, UserB now
attempts to login under a certain role UserB -> RoleB but is rejected
with an error of Table RDB$DATABASE unknown. After logging into this
database as the owner and granting permission to all the system tables
to UserB, UserB can now login in as RoleB.
Dow this mean once you assign any permission to a user for any system
table you then must assign permission to the system tables for all
users to login? this is what appears to be happening, is this normal
behaivour for Firebird 1.5.2 on windows 2000 professional?
I would much prefer to revert back to having the UserB logged in
without assigning permission to system tables, but if i dont give
UserB these permissions it cant log in at all.
