i've restricted a bit the /var directory
chown -R firebird:firebird /var/db
chmod -R 660 /var/db
i can edit firebird.conf and do a
DatabaseAccess = Restrict '/var/db'

but even if i choose to put the databases on a different directory,
that doesn't fix the problem

the db creation seems to be sticked to /tmp -_-''
