I have what seems (I think) a really dumb and simple SQL syntax
problem, but I didn't find anything through Google/newsgroups/lists so
far. Sorry if you've already answered this question a zillion times.

I use firebird embedded in my application (I have the same problem
using interactive tools like Flame Robin), and can't begin a transaction.

I tried SET TRANSACTION (which fail with "Unknown or unsupported
statement type"), BEGIN, ...

What is the correct way to begin a transaction ?
