Thanks Friends who have participated in discussion,

Adam raised a basic question which I asked in
same words as Adams to person who is demanding
the checksum facility i.e. What is your aim
prevention or detection ?

The answer is unauthorized access detection.
Definitely not the prevention. More details are
in case after day-end process has been completed
office staff takes out various control reports
and scrutiny them if some transactions found susceptible
for audit objection then they call back manager and
discuss with him and if he permits then staff restores
back up before day-end and take corrective action.
and day-end process is fired once again.

Hence in nutshell No prevention but Detection.
Manager want to make sure that database should be
same as when he left and if it has been touched
then it should be detected at the time of next
day begin process. Logs in application can tell
him transactions happened after he has left the
office. However he want to retain facility of
restoring backups and doing transactions in his
absence with his employees.

Now in this Scenario i would like to request
some comments.

Thanks And Best Regards.
