Dear Friends,
To ensure that there is no change in database between
subsequent official turnoffs and turn ons my client
is demanding "checksum of the database" to be
implemented.
Can somebody suggest me a way to achieve this ?
I am using Delphi 5->IBO->FB 1.5,xx on Linux RH9.
The details are as follows.
Its a financial institute working hrs are 10 AM to 5:30 PM.
Server is shutdown when all the users are logged off
and after day end process is completed. The Manager of
branch leaves after day end process is completed but
workers may keep on working late nights. The Manager
has doubt that there are some incidences where backup
before have been restored and some corrective actions
have been performed and day end process has been done
in his absence. He would like to have a program which will
store a checksum of the database after day end stored
on some removable media which he will carry with him
and on next day the day begin process will only be
fired if the checksum tallies with it.
He dont mind rather prefers to have a separate
program on removable media to do this.
Thanks and Best Regards
