I'm not sure about Tao Linux, but for RedHad there is some .rpm. I think
it is called something like:

libstdc++-3.3.2-5.i386.rpm

where 3.3.2 is library version, so you might need to find correct one
for your system. Similar package name is used for other .rpm-based
distributions like Mandriva or SuSE.

The easiest solution is to use your package manager, and just ask which
package contains libstdc++.so.5. In Mandrake it is done like this:

urpmf libstdc++.so.5

I don't have RH box at hand, so I can't tell how to do it there.
