You also have to keep in mind that your application might not be the
only one using Firebird on your customer's computer/server. If you
created a user in Firebird in order for your application to use the
database, then if someone replaces security.fdb, chances are your
application wouldn't be working anymore, at that point your customer
might be calling you for tech support. But, if there is some critical
information in your database that needs good protection, then you
might want to encrypt that information.
