Is this typical for both CS and SS ?
I'm starting up a Win2003 server with Fb/1.5.2 SS in a couple of
weeks. Naturally, I want this one to be (significantly) faster than the
old box (the new box has 3GHz Xeons while the old one is around 900Mhz,
same type RAID and disks (15krpm)). I definitely hope that an "upgrade"
from Win2003 to Win2000 won't be necessary.

I would appreciate some guidelines on how to make Win2003 and Fb/1.5.2SS
perform well.
Also, how does AMD Opteron compare to Xeons (Windows and Fb/1.5 SS)?
