Hi!
I've seen many posts on this issue, but no sollution so far.
Until now, we've been using FB 1.5.2 Classic on WinXP and Pentium4
machine. It was working fine, but we had hardware problems and decided
to switch to new server.
We got dual 3Ghz Xeons on Intel motherboard, 1Gb RAM and 2 SCSI discs in
RAID (mirror) and installed Windows 2003 on it.
Well, all FB based applications runs significantly slower. Shadowing and
sharing is disabled, HyperThreading also.
Is this Win2003 and Firebird 1.5 issue? Would it be best to switch to
Windows2000 or this can this slow-down be solved?
We can't go to linux since we have many UDF's that should be rewritten
and we're kinda short on time.
