Thanks, will post question on the development forum (didn't know that
existed, there are a few new ones since last I looked ;-) ).

However this message isn't really about porting (1.5.1 compiles fine
under OSX with no special requirements). What we have here is a
runtime problem that is occuring on one Mac and not another, most
likely an environmental difference, so we just need to pin down the
meaning of those errors (they look tcp-interface-related, but I could
be wrong).
