Hi, we're trying to run a 1.5.1 Firebird SuperServer on an eMac (we
can't build 1.5.2 - see other recent post). We've successfully been
running it on an iMac (several months?), no problems. However we've
just installed it on the eMac (10.3.7). There's apparently no
installation errors, but when the service tries to start there's the
following error:

INET/inet_error: read errno = 54
INET/inet_error: receive in try_connect errno = 54
INET/inet_error: receive in try_connect errno = 22

The last message is repeated once per second, nine times before the
service gives up.

Does this mean anything to anyone?
If '54' could be interpreted as '10054', this is 'connection reset'.
Why would this be?

Another thing that is strange is that you (attempt to) start the
service by running "fbmgr.bin -start". However 'start' is not listed
as an option for fbmgr.bin (when specifying -help)... I assume it was
only mistakenly omitted from the command-line help.

Any ideas why 1.5.1 won't run on the eMac? (BTW, 'classic' server runs
ok.)
