No certified Superserver build has been released by the project for
MacOS. My understanding is that it has largely defeated those who have
tried to port it because of the way threading is implemented in BSD-based
Unixen. In addition, the project is seriously under-resourced with respect
to Mac hardware access and the project's main Darwin person is not
available to work on porting at present.

You're in the wrong list to try to solve porting problems. Take it
firebird-devel - there the right eyes might be watching. Best you try to
get heads together with others who want to do this port, see if it's
doable, and see whether you can move it forward to your mutual satisfaction.
