Am having troubles with a user who is trying to get firebird 1.5
installed and running on a pc. The issue, to me, seems to be related
to an older version of interbase that WILL NOT go away from the
services. Uninstall etc and interbase still keeps on coming up in
services. We've set the IB Gaurdian and IBServer to disabled, which
does stick around, but even so uninstalling Firebird and re-installing
it does not seem to work. The Firebird services seem to be running but
when I try to connect to server using IBOConsole I get errors.

Any ideas? solutions?
