The applet has been written (and tested) to survive idle clicking while on
chatting on the phone, so the behaviour you mention _ought_ not be
possible.

I would first check the date and version of the cpl applet. The one that
shipped with 1.5 had some timing issues with XP and Win2K3. These should
have been fixed for 1.5.1 and later.

What O/S are you running on?
