Jim,
My best bet is that the ODBC driver supports ODS 10 and
up.
ODS 10 adds a new field (RDB$FIELD_PRECISION) to
system table RDB$FIELDS. So that might be your problem.
You can contact the ODBC driver programmer if you like.
