Hi Tim,
It's happening to three different client machines, 2 desktops and
1 laptop. Checking the NICs on the desktops would be relatively easy,
but the laptop is not an option at this time.
Two of the machines (1 desktop and the laptop) are both less than 1
year old and have only been used in an office environment and the
third on is only 6 months old. I would sincerly hope that the NICs
aren't bad on any of them.
The only one that looked like it's NIC could've been a problem was the
server. I've recently replaced the gateway/router on the server
because I suspected it of rebooting itself. That solved my mysterious
NIC problem on the server but that turned out not to be the root
cause. I'm not seeing any more NIC problems on the server, but I'm
still seeing a problem with the connection dropping.
