I installed firebird super server 1.5 on SUSE linux.
I was able to create a datbase through the isql utility. Lets call
it power.fdb Now when I try to connect to that database using jdbc
on a Windows 200o PRO, It doesn't allow me to. I made sure the jdbc
url is correct and tried using varies tools like DB Visualizer &
other applications and still I can not connect to the db. I do
believe I have the right driver for firebird. One of the errors I
recieve is as follows
[ERROR] Error in CacheBuilderCommand for driver Firebird
Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
javax/resource/ResourceException.
I have successful used Firebird Super Server on Red Hat Linux,
Fedora Linux and various Windows platforms. This is the first time
I have difficulties connection to a db.
Does anyone know what this error is and what I can do to fix it.
Thanks, Scot.
