I *think* I read somewhere that you can use them with Delphi Personal
(i.e. without Delphi's database components), but I'm not sure.
"FBLib" is an OpenSource Library for direct access to Firebird
explicitely for use without data aware components, Delphi PE is stated
on the web site (http://fblib.altervista.org/), but the current project
version is only 0.74.
I didn't try out both collections but wanted to mention them.
IBObjects also has components (even data aware controls) that can be
used with Delphi Personal (but it's commercial).
