I'm trying to install firebird 1.5 on Red Hat Linux from the standard
binary tar.gz to a directory other than /opt/firebird. I thought
that simply changing the directory var in the install script would do
it but it seems like fbmgr is trying to cd to /opt/firebird.
Has anyone sucessfully done this without doing a custom compile/build?
Thanks very much for any insights here.
