You have a screwed-up installation. Two things you need to do are:

1) Go into your Windows Start MEnu/Startup and delete any shortcuts there
for Firebird
2) Shut down the serveice, then go into the bin directory of your firebird
installation in a command window. Run the program instreg.exe twice. The
first time
instreg.exe -r

the second time
instreg.exe -i

That should do it.
