None that I know of, but we've always used SS, so planned to go with it
again. Tell me more about embedded server and how it is different to CS and
SS.

What requirements do you have that only SuperServer can provide?

FreeBSD's Firebird port (/usr/ports/databases/firebird/) builds both Classic
and Embedded Server (libfbembed.so - based on SuperServer), which has
powered all my apps with roaring performance so far...

Do you really need the shared cache of SS? Have you tried CS with persistent
connections?
