Can anyone tell me why a local connection to a Firebird 1.5 database
would just hang on Windows 2003? I am connection through the BDE
(double click the alias and sign in) and the hourglass just sits there
never giving an error message. Firebird services is on, port appears to
be open (Telnet from another machine to port 3050 results in blinking
cursor) I'm guessing this may have something to do with the
security.fdb and permissions? I have no idea as there is no error returned.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
