I tried to install the new NTPL SuperServer build on Fedora Core 2
Linux distribution. Unfortunatelly, the server refuse to start. It
runs just for several seconds, then the process disappears. I tried
both the rpm and tar installs. There is no error message, just some
entries in logfile:
fbtst2.intranet.acr (Client) Fri Jul 30 20:17:19 2004
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
fbtst2.intranet.acr (Client) Fri Jul 30 20:17:19 2004
INET/inet_error: receive in try_connect errno = 104
(repeatedly)
......
followed by:
fbtst2.intranet.acr Fri Jul 30 20:17:35 2004
INET/inet_error: read errno = 88
fbtst2.intranet.acr (Client) Fri Jul 30 20:17:35 2004
/opt/firebird/bin/fbguard: bin/fbserver normal shutdown.
Also, what problems may I expect if i use the original (non NPTL)
build ? Unlike the NPTL build it installed fine and seems to run
without problems.
Thanks
