I think I know a good reason why people try to use database files on a Network
Share :))

A friend of mine, just minutes ago told me:
"Why can't I use a file in a share. I can browse it using XXX GUI tool."

So, all you guys who develop GUI tools for Firebird, please consider
removing "Network neighbourhood" from your "Select/Open file ..." dialogs. :))
