I am running a home network and the machine (winXP) which runs the
firebird/interbase application also accesses the internet for the
other machines. The other machines (win 98SE and win XP) lose their
connection to the internet when I install firebird and regain the
connection when I uninstall firebird and do a system restore to the
point just before I installed it. I have repeated this with
identical outcome.
Any thoughts on how/why this might occur and what I might try?
