I just installed FB1.03 on a Hungarian WinXP with AthlonXP (Barton)
and all new MS updates
The following steps probably have nothing to do with my problem:
I set up a new user with ibquery (freeware little fb manager)
I put some data into the db through JDBC and Jaybird 1.01

And after this I wanted to shut down the fb service to see if db
file's modification date changes (file properties still represents
older modification date, but I hope that's some win issue)
SO i ran the control service app from the firebird startmenu
And clicking on stop button causes a new window with the $subject
error message + overlapping I/O function message(in hungarian) to appear.
Nevertheless the service got stopped, and new data remained in
database after restarting service and checking, but still:
what is this?
