You could begin by reading the release notes, where you will discover that
pieces are not where they were in 1.0.3. Specifically, Firebird 1.5's
client is called fbclient.dll and is located in Firebird's \bin
directory. If you have apps that need a client named gds32.dll located in
the system32 directory, you will need to select a certain branch in the
Windows installer; or run a utility instclient.exe later, to do what that
branch does.

Read also the readme in the docs directory regarding the client install.
