I am new to Firebird and am about to switch from the open source version of IB to FB 1.5 using IBObjects 4.3.A on XPPro.

1) I converted my gdb to fdb via IB/gbak backup -> FB/gbak restore. As described in the fb 1.5 release notes.
2) Is this conversion (and the fb legacy client dll) all that is required as far as my app is concerned?
3) Uninstall IB 6.0.2 and remove IB gds32.dll from all PCs?
4) Does localhost work for FB 1.5?
