A client has just installed W2000 server, and runs an app using
IB5.6.
On first installing IB, it runs fine. But when the server is reset,
something happens to make IB refuse further connections.
All other TCP/IP apps run OK. Communcation diagnostics reports that
it cannot find the gds_db service. I have updated service files with
the necessary port numbers etc.
The only solution is to re-install IB from scratch. It then works
again for a session or two.
Has this been seen before? Any ideas?
