Subject Problem on Windows 98 with FireBird
Author akademie2
We have a java application running on serveral Windows Versions,
WIN98 - WINNT - WINME - WIN2000 - WIN XP.

We are using the JDBC-Driver from Firebird to connect ....
Everything works okay, except on WIN98.

After some time under WIN98, while our application is running, we
get errors from the JDBC-Driver, the message is like "ERROR: Can´t
connect to FireBird on localhost ...."

If we just restart the firebird database (but not our application)
every thing works fine again for some time ... (10-20 request to
firebird)

Are there any known problems with firebird on Windows 98 ?!
Our second problem is, that we want to stop firebird under Windows
98, from the console (because Win98 has no services) ?!?

Please help,
regards René
