Perhaps you should contact the developer of Quasar to see if it will run
with a default Firebird installation? A reasonable person would expect
that if Firebird was installed that a Quasar install would detect this.

A reasonable person might also expect that if Quasar must install its own
version of Firebird that it listens on a different port. That way the two
servers could co-exist happily.
