Subject Re: DBF migration, ODBC driver help

Alvaro, I'm using VFP 7.0 as frontend for a Firebird 1.02 database on
three different applications. Two of them running since about one
year ago.

For accesing database I go Gemini 2.1. Can't tell you about the other
drivers because it was my boss who tested them, but this is the one
he had chosen.

About the use of firebird with VFP there's not much I can tell you
about because i'm pretty new, not only to firebird, but to RDMS's
(I'm working here since last November). One of the things it cause me
some trubles is migrating dbf's. Be carefull when managing views (set
VFP views properties to the best, don't use them as default).

I wouldn't borrie about the engine: It is great and works great. And
i'm sure version 1.5 final will be ever greater....

regards,

Pablo Lerner
