What is the role of the Firebird Guardian service? With some
brief
experiments (they were really brief), I found that even if I run
only the
Firebird Server it doesn't affect anything. So why should I
need the
Guardian service? A thing to note is with the Guardian service
installed, I
cannot directly start or stop the Firebird Server service. But
I can
install the Firebird Server without the Guardian, so what's the
catch?
