Hi.
I have used firebird for years, ever since it was "Interbase", and i
always met this strangeness (on all versions, only on Windows platform):
The first connection (only the first one!) to some particular
databases (not all) takes up a lot of time, (also 2 minutes!).
These databases are not particularly big (about 30 Mb) and it happens
on any Windows machine, even with 1 Gb ram...
Instead, the same database opens immediately with Firebird+Linux.
Backup+restore does not change things.
What can i do to prevent this ????
I can't belive anyone met this problem before!
