Hi all,
Could someone please tell me the difference between oldest transaction
and oldest active transaction.
Our Oldest transaction is getting miles away from our Next Transaction.
We just shut down and restarted the database server, and I would have
thought that the transactions numbers would have all reset themselves...
but the Oldest transaction is still miles away from the Next
transaction.
The oldest active and next are quite close together however.
Do I need concern myself with the Oldest Transaction as opposed to the
oldest active. How do I reset or restart these counters? Shutting down
and restarting the DB doesn't appear to do it... Is a backup and restore
required? Or don't I need to worry.
Regards
Colin
