sometimes I want to search old group messages for a question I
remember answered but don't remember how.

The search facilities provided by Yahoo look rather primitive: I
cannot search by several keys and browsing the hits is like walking
of the edge of a cliff: if by any chance I click "messages" instead
of "message index", I am brought back to the full list of messages.

The search engine provided by Google for newgroups is - instead -
first class.

Is really Yahoo that bad with its own groups or am I missing
something ?
