I would just point out - XP is not designed to be a server!

Having said that, it can be made to work, but it is a pig
doing it - it took me two 10 hour days to get everthing
sorted, and I would not like to document all of the bits.

I have stuck with W2k as the server her - so I can't check
things. I started by switching off a all services that had
nothing to do with the job in hand - but the MAIN thing is
to switch off 'Fast User Switching'. This allows you to
change login and have several users running at once. I
trashes the routing table at times, so switch back to single
user login, then at least the services actually have a
chance of running :)
