Hi,
I want to perform a simple test from any computer that Firebird server is up and running. I can telnet to the server e.g.: -
C:> telnet fbserver 3050
This shows me if the server is up and listening. Once connected, I get a blank screen. Is there any text or control characters I can send down to the port to get a meaningful response (similar to how you can test a web server by telnetting to port 80 and issuing an HTTP request e.g. GET / HTTP/1.0).
Not really an important issue, but I'd be interested to know!
