It's cool.
I realise that this is probably the wrong place, but ...
I have had IB / FB installed at some clients where the DB has been in use
for 2 - 3 YEARS between backups / restores. NO PROBLEMS. NO CORRUPTION. NO
NUTTIN! :-)
Remote sites, where the client doesn't have IT skills and is running
anything from Win 95 release 1 all the way to XP. Charity organizations
where the client can't afford anything fancy - in one case (Boys' Town - an
organisation for boys with problems / orphans / abuse), where they spent
LOTS of money installing an app built on another DB that DIDN"T WORK. Sites
where the client installs from CD - no user intervention required. No
problems found either.
In 6 / 7 years of using FB/IB, I have found it to be the lowest cost,
lowest maintenance DB I have ever used.
Believe me, I LOVE Interbase / FB
